About Steve
Steve Remington has more than 20 years’ experience in data science, business intelligence, business analytics, operational reporting, data warehousing and other decision support projects. His experience includes seven years as an adjunct academic researcher and lecturer at Melbourne Business School, Monash University and Latrobe University.
Steve leads Minerra’s mission to provide business decision makers with rapid access to the information they need to make informed business decisions. He is responsible for establishing the company’s innovation, growth, sales and marketing strategy.
Steve mixes academia with the delivery of data science, data warehousing and analytics services to healthcare, transport and logistics, financial services, insurance, commercial broadcasting, utilities, state government, police and courts, agricultural management, professional services, manufacturing and tertiary education. This ensures that he stays abreast of new thinking in academia and brings that into the commercial world, developing best practices from both academia and industry.
Steve also combines his in-depth business and information technology expertise with his academic research and teaching experience to provide clients with a hands-on approach by serving as an executive advisor, programme director, solution architect and data modeller with experience in dimensional modelling and data vault (certified) data warehouse architectures.
Steve is an avid science fiction reader, technology nerd, coffee lover in constant search of the perfect cup, and dedicated servant to his two cats.
